A stale tale, the story begins with Cauvery (priyamani), sister of the tough police commissioner Srihari Prasad (srihari). She comes across an IPS aspirant Kitty (sreenagara) at a chess match and they become friends. Meanwhile, Srihari Prasad begins to suspect his sister and thinks Kitty is Cauvery's boyfriend.
